Description
Harness the timeless calm of Chamomile — dried German chamomile flowers slowly infused into the carrier oil you choose for your Build-Your-Own ORY® skincare, haircare, or handmade soap. German chamomile is one of the most studied botanicals in skin care, and it is the flower in which the soothing compounds α-bisabolol and chamazulene (azulene) were first identified. Steeping the dried blossoms in oil draws out their oil-loving calming compounds — α-bisabolol, bisabolol oxides, and matricin, the natural precursor of blue chamazulene — which peer-reviewed reviews link to anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and skin-repair activity, and it has been clinically studied for comfort in eczema-prone skin. (Chamomile’s water-loving flavonoids, such as apigenin, pass mainly into chamomile tea, which is why ORY® also offers a chamomile tea rinse and tea-based soap.)
Choose jojoba or sweet almond for face, body, and hair; apricot kernel for the delicate eye area; grapeseed or jojoba for oily or blemish-prone skin; or high-oleic sunflower or olive for soap. In your custom face oil, body oil, calming balm, or baby massage oil, chamomile helps calm the look of redness, eases dryness-related itch, comforts dry and eczema-prone skin, and supports the skin’s natural recovery — with a soft, apple-like aroma. In your custom scalp oil or hair oil, it soothes a dry, itchy, sensitive-feeling scalp and conditions the ends; as a chamomile tea rinse, it is traditionally used to add warmth to golden and blonde tones (a gentle, gradual glow — not a lightener). In your handmade soap, chamomile-infused oil and chamomile tea help make a mild bar with a subtle herbal note.
Suitable for every skin and hair type and gentle enough for baby massage oils, it pairs beautifully with Calendula and Colloidal Oat. Customize your cruelty-free formulation for a soothing experience from face to scalp.
Caution: Chamomile belongs to the daisy (Asteraceae/Compositae) family. Patch test before use, and avoid if you are allergic to ragweed, daisies, chrysanthemums, marigold, arnica, or echinacea. Keep out of the eyes — eye-area oils are for the orbital bone only. Do not apply to broken, infected, or weeping skin. For persistent eczema or scalp conditions, consult a healthcare professional.
Not for sale individually. Order Chamomile as part of your Build-Your-Own skincare, haircare, handmade soap, or cosmetics formulation.
