It is the oil-loving half of the Olivem® 1000 emulsifier pair — with cetearyl olivate it forms lamellar liquid-crystal creams that mimic the skin’s barrier lipids for lasting hydration — and on its own (as Olivem® 900) it is a water-in-oil emulsifier for rich, protective balms and barrier creams. Sorbitan esters are reviewed as safe by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Panel, and sorbitan olivate is PEG-free, non-ionic, biodegradable, and COSMOS-approved. In your custom natural cream or lotion, it gives every skin type skin-like, lasting moisture; in your protective barrier balm, cold cream, or working-hands cream, it seals in comfort for very dry skin. In your curl cream or water-in-oil hair and scalp balm, it softens and seals moisture into dry ends. In your cosmetics, it supports natural and long-wear foundations, cream blush, and lip balms. In your handmade range, it structures lotion and syndet bars. Customize your cruelty-free formulation with one olive family for both creams and balms.
